Situated to the east of Annapurna Base camp trek, one of the most popular trekking destination of Nepal, Mardi Himal trek offers a confronting view of mighty Annapurna Range. Trekkers also get to enjoy the stunning view of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Annapurna South, Mardi Himal, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Hiunchuli, all ranging between 6500 to 8000 meters. The trek is very suitable for novice trekkers, as it is a shorter trek with relatively low elevation. The immense beauty offered by the Mardi Himal trek is also a reason for the growing popularity of this trek in recent years.

Upon reaching Pokhara, trekkers can catch a bus to Phedi. There is in fact two different route to pursue this trek. The difficult trail continues through steep and rugged, rocky ascend in a winding path from Hyangja to Sidhing and finally to the High camp. The route is very dangerous and you need a serious technical mountain climbing experience to pursue the trail. Alternatively the easy route offers a shorter trek from Phedi to Pothana, Forest camp, low camp and finally High camp. The trek is very easy and we recommend you to take this route instead.

You will need to acquire the TIMS and ACAP permit to begin the Mardi Himal Trek which can cost around USD 40 both together. This multi day trek leads your path towards dense forests, dramatic terrains, and remote villages. Due to this reason it is very important to do some basic preparations before the trek, which becomes lot easier if you book your trek via an experienced tour operator. They will guide you through each steps and help you make your trek a remarkable journey.
