ACAP permit and TIMS card is required while trekking on this route. The general price for a permit is $10 USD. We highly recommend you getting a guide/porter even though a lot of hikers think they don’t need one. A guide can give you further information on the mountain range you are traveling along-side and also more information as a whole. But if you absolutely don’t want to take a guide then that should be fine too as the paths are pretty straight-forward. Lastly, taking a porter with you depends on your fitness level.
